Lore:

Many years ago some unholy Eldridge being was imprisoned beneath this land and was believed to be forgotten until briefly mentioned by a mad profit in the 1800s in his now famous book the "Necronomicon".

Upon discovering this text, what one started off as a bit of a rebellious modern day witches game, slowly corrupted into something more unholy.

Either decaying internally or externally by outside forces, nevertheless, the results were the same of them trying to call out into the cosmos to the one who imprisoned their divine being.

That being that to once imprisoned their savior also once twisted their memories and shape them like smoke, deforming them into new memories for gods to hide the true reality during humanities eight escape from an extinction event.

As a movement grew so did the willingness to try new things…

Some of the methods they adopted were to stalk victims or potentially new followers.

Keeping a dossier on people and sending out letters of an invite for a “very special club”.
